Ideal candidates will hold the appropriate SPED licensure for Alabama—K-6 for Elementary, 6-12 for Secondary—backed by a passion for adapting curriculum and modifying instruction to meet diverse learner needs. Prior experience creating individualized education plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams is highly valued.

What qualifications and experience do you bring?

  • Valid Alabama Special Education certification matching the preferred grade range (K-6 for Elementary, 6-12 for Secondary; dual credentialed applicants welcome)
  • Demonstrated skill in managing self-contained classrooms and working with students of varying abilities
  • Understanding of IEP processes and compliance
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility in caseload and age group preferences, with clear willingness to travel for an onsite role
