Special Education Teacher - Tubac, Arizona

Multiple full-time openings are available at the elementary and middle school levels.

You’ll lead a resource classroom, with manageable caseloads that allow for individualized attention—30 students each at three elementary schools and 37 students at the middle school. Your dedication will ensure students receive the resources and encouragement needed for academic success.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (preferred)
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with students with varying exceptionalities in resource settings
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
• Creative instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction to students in a resource setting
• Develop, monitor, and document IEPs to ensure student progress
• Collaborate with general educators, specialists, and families to support inclusion and achievement
• Monitor and assess each student's academic and behavioral growth
• Establish a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning
• Advocate for students’ needs while fostering independence and self-advocacy
