Special Education Teacher in Tullahoma, TN

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license meeting Tennessee requirements
• 460 endorsement or 145 endorsement suitable for Middle School Intervention
• Previous experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education context preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and accommodations
• Ability to cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom where every student can succeed
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and school teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction to middle school students in an inclusion/resource room setting
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support co-teaching and push-in interventions
• Monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure effective learning
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
• Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating classroom environment
