This full-time Special Education teaching position focuses on K-2nd grade students in a self-contained classroom environment. Two openings are available, providing a dynamic setting to collaborate with fellow educators and support early learners as they build foundational academic and social skills.

Applicants must hold a valid 461 TN special education license and demonstrate strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom. Qualifications:

• Current 461 TN special education license (required)
• Experience teaching or student teaching in special education, preferably with early elementary students
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to design differentiated lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to K-2nd grade students in a self-contained special education classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs to promote student growth and achievement
• Create a safe, caring, and structured learning environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to parents and guardians
• Participate in school trainings, meetings, and ongoing professional development
