Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Prior experience teaching in a self-contained classroom preferred
• Understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and fellow staff
• Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learning needs
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging students with varying abilities

Role responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals
• Create a welcoming, structured, and safe classroom setting
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data
• Collaborate closely with other educators, therapists, and families
• Complete documentation, progress reports, and required paperwork in a timely manner
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth for all students in your care
