Special Ed Teacher | Twain Harte, California

This position offers the opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher within an elementary school environment, focusing on delivering specialized instruction to students with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities. The role primarily supports students aged 2nd to 4th grade with primarily emotional and other disabilities through a dedicated Nexus Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Provide instruction and support in a classroom setting that accommodates 2 to 8 students, with a maximum of 10.
• Collaborate closely with three paraeducators assigned to the classroom.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment that supports emotional and academic growth.
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development related to special education.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential.
• Experience working with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities.
• Proven ability to manage small classrooms and coordinate with paraeducators.
• Skilled in supporting students with primary and emotional disabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location: Twain Harte, CA
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
