Special Education Teacher - Twain Harte, CA

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably within a self-contained or special day class
• Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and experience developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement behavioral interventions as needed
• Excellent communication abilities for collaborating with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Passion for fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students in a middle school SDC (moderate to severe)
• Develop and modify lesson plans to meet each student’s IEP goals
• Track progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families
