Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Current and valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license in a recognized special education area (such as Learning Disabilities, Multi-categorical, or Emotional Disabilities)
- Ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong teamwork skills for collaboration with educational staff and families
- Excellent organizational abilities and commitment to individualized instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to K-12 students according to IEP requirements
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Track student progress, maintain necessary documentation, and communicate effectively with families
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Participate in team meetings, staff development sessions, and professional trainings
