Bring your expertise to a vibrant educational environment as a Special Education Resource Teacher and positively impact the lives of elementary students. In this full-time, contract role for the 2026–2027 school year, you will play a crucial part in providing specialized academic support, fostering student success, and collaborating closely with a dedicated educational team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver resource instruction in core academic areas such as reading and math for elementary students.
  • Plan, develop, and implement individualized lessons tailored to each student’s IEP goals.
  • Support inclusion by co-teaching or consulting with general education staff within classroom settings.
  • Monitor student achievement and progress, maintaining accurate and timely records to inform instruction and report outcomes.
  • Work closely with fellow special education professionals and general educators, participating in regular team meetings to ensure all student needs are met.
  • Assist in IEP meetings and support all aspects of compliance documentation.

Desired qualifications:

  • Valid or pending South Carolina certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience in resource, inclusion, or similar settings is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled at supporting elementary-age learners academically and with behavior management.
  • Dedication to fostering safe, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences.
