Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or Instructional II certification in Special Education K-12, or eligibility to obtain by the end of July (emergency certifications are not accepted at this time)
- Demonstrated experience or enthusiasm for working with middle school populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Skill in adapting lesson plans to fit individual student needs while fostering an encouraging learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction in both classroom and small-group settings utilizing push-in and pull-out methods
- Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for a diverse caseload of middle school students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success and compliance with special education requirements
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities
Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, from 8:15am to 4:15pm—operating 40 hours per week. This position offers competitive hourly compensation, ranging from $37.50 to $54.75, recognizing your experience and commitment.
