Special Education Teacher in Upper Darby, PA

This full-time, onsite position begins August 24, 2026 and concludes June 10, 2027, making a lasting impact in a diverse, supportive educational environment. With openings at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, you’ll find a fit for your expertise and preferences.

Current openings:

• Elementary School: 8:30AM-4PM
• Middle School: 8:30AM-4PM or 8AM-3:15PM (hours to be determined)
• High School: 7:15AM-2:45PM
  (Each role is 35 hours per week.)

What you bring:

• Active certification or licensure suitable to assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and instructional techniques in Special Education
• Proficient in lesson planning, differentiation, and formative assessment aligned with standards
• Successful prior experience within a school environment
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Experience working in urban settings
• Comfortable collaborating with district staff and within the building’s community
• Ability to commute reliably to the worksite
• Availability to work the assigned schedule without accommodation
• Ability to complete all mandatory Pennsylvania clearances
