Special Education Teacher - Upper Darby, PA

We’re seeking dedicated educators for full-time, onsite roles supporting students at both the middle and high school levels. In these positions, you’ll deliver high-quality instruction in inclusive settings, using your expertise to help diverse learners reach their full potential.

There are four positions available:

• One middle school educator (Hours: 8:30AM–4PM or 8AM–3:15PM, TBD)
• Three high school educators (Hours: 7:15AM–2:45PM) with specializations needed in Science, Math, and Social Studies

These roles begin August 24, 2026, and continue through June 10, 2027.

What we’re looking for:

• Active Pennsylvania teaching certification or licensure for the appropriate caseload
• Bachelor’s degree required (to qualify for emergency teaching permit if needed)
• Demonstrated mastery of subject(s) and instructional skills
• Proven classroom and behavioral management abilities
• Experience working within urban school environments
• Familiarity and comfort with district and location
• Reliable transportation and ability to work scheduled hours without accommodations
• Previous school-based experience required
• Capacity to create engaging, standard-aligned lesson plans that drive differentiated instruction
• Ability to complete all Pennsylvania clearances

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction in resource-rich classrooms
• Developing and adapting curriculum to student needs
• Monitoring and assessing student progress through formative evaluations
• Fostering a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff
