What We're Looking For:

• Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License (full certification required)
• Experience working with high school students, particularly 9th and 10th grade, is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Proficient in adapting instruction to a variety of learning needs and abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 9th and 10th grade students based on IEP goals
• Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff
• Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Participate in case conferences, IEP meetings, and family communications
• Support and empower students to enhance self-advocacy and independence

Position Details:

• Contract role based in a welcoming school community
• Choose between a 5-day schedule (37.5 hours/week) or a 4-day schedule (30 hours/week)
• School hours are 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
• Engage with energetic, motivated students and a dedicated staff
