Key Qualifications:
- Hold current MSDE Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with early childhood or preschool-aged students preferred
- Ability to travel between sites locally (mileage not provided; travel time is compensated)
- No travel restrictions—candidates must be comfortable and able to move between locations during the school day
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
- Commitment to inclusive and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction for students with diverse learning needs in early childhood programs
- Travel between multiple sites throughout the week to provide direct services as scheduled
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to support each student’s IEP
- Maintain student records, progress monitoring, and documentation in accordance with state and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on instructional strategies and student progress
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to foster engagement and achievement
- Promote positive classroom climates and inclusive practices in all assigned settings
