Special Education Teacher | Valentine, Arizona

We’re seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school setting near Valentine, AZ. This contract opportunity runs from July 20, 2026, to May 20, 2027 and offers a full-time schedule Monday through Thursday (40 hours/week) with additional participation in special events that may occur during evenings or on Fridays.

As a key support for an entire school caseload of 20-28 students, you will collaborate with caring educators and families to promote student success, develop individualized education programs (IEPs), and shape a nurturing environment for every learner.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
• Previous experience working with K-8 students, especially those with diverse learning needs
• Strong understanding of IEP process and required documentation
• Skills in adapting instruction and classroom management for individual needs
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and engagement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of 20-28 K-8 students, delivering specialized instruction aligned with IEPs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and monitor student progress
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records for all students
• Design and implement engaging lessons that support academic, social, and emotional growth
• Participate in professional development and school events, including some evenings or Fridays
