Pre K Special Education Teacher - Valley, Alabama

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 26/27 school year! This full-time position focuses on providing exceptional instruction and support within a PreK inclusion classroom. You’ll be working with up to 18 four-year-old students, combining learners with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their typical peers. With the support of two experienced paraprofessionals, you’ll help create a nurturing, dynamic, and engaging environment that champions growth for every child.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials or eligibility to obtain them
• Experience or training in early childhood special education, especially in inclusive settings
• Strong understanding of IEPs and experience adapting curriculum and instruction to support diverse needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Demonstrated patience, creativity, and commitment to fostering a positive classroom culture

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized and group instruction that promotes student growth and engagement
• Differentiate lessons to address varying skill levels and learning styles within the classroom
• Develop and maintain IEPs; monitor student progress and document outcomes
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure accommodations and modifications are delivered with fidelity
• Partner closely with families and school staff to promote continuity and success for all students
• Support social, emotional, and academic development, ensuring a safe and inclusive atmosphere
