Special Ed Teacher - Varnville, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience or strong interest in working with middle and high school students
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with a range of special learning needs
• Develop, monitor, and adjust IEPs to support student growth and achievement
• Utilize various teaching strategies to address diverse learning styles
• Collaborate with other educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Support students’ social-emotional and academic development
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Engage in ongoing professional development and school-based activities
