This contract position is available for the 26/27 school year, offering the chance to work closely with a manageable caseload of seven students. With 37.5 hours per week, you’ll have the ability to fully immerse yourself in providing individualized support and fostering academic growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience with elementary-age students, particularly in resource or inclusion settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to develop and implement differentiated lesson plans
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Dedication to creating a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted instruction to students in 3rd through 5th grade within a resource classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for all students on the caseload
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service professionals to ensure student needs are met
  • Track progress and adapt strategies using data and best practices
  • Cultivate a classroom culture that supports a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Maintain consistent communication with families about goals, progress, and strategies for success
