Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for the state
- Background working with middle school students preferred
- Experience managing and delivering services in a resource classroom setting
- Strong collaboration skills with general education teachers and support staff
- Ability to develop, implement, and track IEPs
- Skillful at engaging a diverse group of learners and adapting instruction to individual needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in the resource classroom
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and report on student progress
- Develop and monitor IEPs, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate effectively with families, advocates, and multidisciplinary team members
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies for students with exceptionalities
- Create a classroom environment that encourages participation, inclusion, and growth
