Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (Illinois LBSI or equivalent required)
  • Previous experience supporting middle school students in special education/resource settings
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Innovative approach to personalized learning

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging instruction to 8th-grade students in resource and co-taught classes
  • Split your schedule between two middle schools (a short drive apart)
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
