We’re seeking dedicated professionals interested in long-term substitute roles at two welcoming elementary school environments for the 2026-2027 school year. Both positions are full-time contract roles, perfect for educators who thrive in early learning and elementary settings.

Openings include:

• PreK classroom at a vibrant early childhood center, serving from November 17 through January 8, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:10 PM.
• Grades K-4 classroom at a dynamic STEM academy, needed from November 12 to January 8, Monday to Friday, 7:40 AM to 3:05 PM.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Valid special education teaching certification (or eligibility in Connecticut)
• Experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged children in a classroom setting
• Strong classroom management and individualized instructional strategies
• Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Adaptability and a nurturing approach to support a variety of student needs

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and modifying curriculum as needed
• Delivering engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Collaborating closely with teaching teams, service providers, and families
• Monitoring student progress and documenting growth
• Providing a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
