Special Education Teacher - Vevay, Indiana

You’ll support students with learning differences, working full-time throughout the entire school year. Positions are available for both a Preschool/LD Teacher and a teacher focused on students with moderate needs, each with average caseloads to facilitate individual attention and student growth.

Requirements and Preferred Background:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (as required by state guidelines)
• Strong background in either early childhood or moderate special education settings
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to unique student needs
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of inclusive classroom practices and positive behavior strategies
• Ability to motivate and support students at different developmental levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, modify, and deliver instruction based on individualized educational plans
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust approaches as necessary
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning for all students
• Work closely with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Maintain required documentation and participate in IEP meetings
• Implement classroom management techniques to encourage positive behaviors
