Special Education Teacher | Vevay, Indiana

Two positions are available, running from August 10th through May 26th, working a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. This opportunity offers a competitive $45 per hour, inviting experienced educators to make a difference in the lives of exceptional students.

Current openings include a Special Preschool/Learning Disabilities Teacher role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching preschool-aged students in the mornings (Tuesday through Friday) and supporting elementary learners with learning disabilities in the afternoons (Monday through Friday, plus full-day Mondays). This blend of age groups and educational needs calls for adaptability, empathy, and a talent for individualized instruction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Indiana teaching certification in any Exceptional Needs area, covering School Setting: Preschool
• Demonstrated experience working with students who have learning disabilities or other exceptional needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to preschool students in the mornings and elementary students in the afternoons, as assigned
• Design and execute engaging lesson plans that address diverse learning needs
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to support student goals
• Track and report on student progress and classroom activities
• Create a nurturing, supportive atmosphere where all students feel valued
