Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching license (state of Illinois or eligibility for reciprocity)
  • Previous experience in a middle school resource or co-taught setting preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to approximately 15 middle school students in resource or co-taught classrooms
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment; paraprofessionals or teaching assistants may not always be present
