Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience teaching Special Education at the upper elementary or middle grade levels (4th–6th grade highly preferred).
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with staff and families.
• Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
• SPED 26/27 endorsement or relevant experience encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with general education teachers to co-teach or consult on classroom modifications and accommodations.
• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to various learning needs and styles.
• Utilize data-driven instruction and ongoing assessment to monitor student progress.
• Conduct and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining all required documentation.
• Establish positive, supportive relationships with students, building their self-advocacy and independence.
• Create structured, safe environments conducive to learning and growth.
• Communicate regularly with families about progress, goals, and strategies for success.
