Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (state-appropriate)

• Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Plans)

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assess student abilities and progress through ongoing evaluation
• Develop, write, and update IEPs based on current educational best practices and student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school counselors, and other specialists to foster student inclusion and success
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and concerns
• Maintain detailed records and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education
