Special Education Teacher in Wallace, NC

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) in North Carolina or transferable from another state
• Experience as either a Resource Teacher or Self-Contained/Adaptive Teacher, especially in elementary or middle school settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and instructional strategies for students with varying exceptionalities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for student advocacy
• Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic classroom settings

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in line with IEP goals
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet diverse student needs
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
