About the Role

This virtual Special Education Teacher position supports K–12 students across Ohio through remote, school-based instruction and IEP-driven services. The role centers on delivering specially designed instruction, maintaining compliance, and collaborating with district teams in a structured virtual setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual special education instruction aligned with student IEP goals

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Collect and document progress monitoring data in accordance with district timelines

• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and team consultations

• Support accommodations, modifications, and instructional planning

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Active Ohio Intervention Specialist (SPED) teaching license

• School-based special education experience preferred

• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance requirements

• Experience providing virtual or remote instruction preferred

• Teaching certification may be required depending on district.
