  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in both resource and self-contained classroom settings
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that empowers students to achieve academic and social goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, communicating updates to parents and school staff
  • Engage in professional development and participate in school meetings as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or closely related field
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education for K-12 or eligibility to obtain one
  • Previous experience teaching students with disabilities, preferably in both resource and self-contained settings
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
