Special Education Teacher - Warren, Michigan

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs
• Provide direct instructional support in various settings, from small groups to inclusive classrooms
• Participate in and facilitate IEP meetings, working collaboratively with families and fellow staff members
• Track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments to learning plans
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and goals
• Stay current on best practices, legal requirements, and resources in special education

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (MI or eligible for reciprocity)
• Experience working with K-8 students and diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of the IEP process, progress monitoring, and compliance
