Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
- Experience with elementary-age students, ideally in a resource or inclusion setting
- Deep understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and specialized instructional strategies
- Able to adapt lessons and classroom environments to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborative spirit and a genuine passion for fostering student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
- Deliver engaging instruction in pull-out and push-in settings, working closely with general education teachers
- Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote growth and achievement
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering confidence and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant education laws and policies
- Engage in regular collaboration with a fellow Resource SPED, school staff, and support professionals
