Special Education Teacher in Warren, MI

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
• Experience with elementary-age students, ideally in a resource or inclusion setting
• Deep understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and specialized instructional strategies
• Able to adapt lessons and classroom environments to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
• Collaborative spirit and a genuine passion for fostering student success

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Deliver engaging instruction in pull-out and push-in settings, working closely with general education teachers
• Assess student progress and adjust strategies to promote growth and achievement
• Build strong relationships with students, fostering confidence and independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant education laws and policies
• Engage in regular collaboration with a fellow Resource SPED, school staff, and support professionals
