Special Education Teacher - Warren, Michigan

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Previous experience working in resource or inclusive elementary classroom settings, strongly preferred
• Comfortable developing and implementing IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Strong ability to modify general education curriculum for students with diverse needs
• Excellent communication skills for parent, staff, and student collaboration
• Familiarity with progress monitoring and data-driven instruction

Responsibilities:

• Provide resource support to elementary students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs
• Collaborate daily with another Special Education Resource Teacher to plan creative, targeted activities
• Design and adapt materials and lessons for various learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and report data to relevant stakeholders
• Consult with classroom teachers, families, and support staff for seamless service integration
• Create a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom climate, encouraging both academic and personal growth
