Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Special Education teaching certification
- Degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in PreK, elementary, or high school settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
- Develop, review, and monitor IEPs in close collaboration with staff and families
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers in co-taught high school classrooms, or serve as a resource teacher at the upper elementary level
- Maintain accurate student records and data documentation
- Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and support staff
