Key Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement required
  • Experience working with students who have mild to moderate learning needs is highly valued
  • Strong familiarity with the development and application of IEPs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to partner with families, support staff, and administrators
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom culture

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual student IEPs
  • Conduct assessments and maintain detailed records of student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to create comprehensive support plans
  • Assist with the identification and implementation of accommodations and modifications
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development

This full-time position runs from late August 2026 through late June 2027, providing the chance to build ongoing relationships with students and colleagues in a nurturing and dynamic environment.
