Special Education Teacher - Warren, MI

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching license with active Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with middle school students in a resource or self-contained classroom preferred
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom where all students can flourish

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to middle school students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Monitor academic and social-emotional progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
• Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and participate in team meetings
• Create an engaging, respectful, and safe classroom environment
