Special Education Teacher in Warren, MI

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting K-12 students with mild to moderate learning differences
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and fellow educators
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered education

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in accordance with student needs and state regulations
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations tailored to individual students
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports on student growth
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that promotes self-advocacy and engagement
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Participate in parent meetings, team conferences, and professional development
