Special Ed Teacher - Warren, Ohio

A high school is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position focuses on supporting students with special needs in a high school setting in Warren, OH. The role involves managing a caseload of high school students and playing a key role in launching a new career center–based classroom designed to prepare students for job opportunities after graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with career readiness goals.
• Establish and manage a career center classroom focused on practical job skills and career preparation for students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to create meaningful work experiences and transition plans.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in special education, particularly within a high school environment.
