Special Education Teacher | Warrenton, North Carolina

You'll work closely with a self-contained group of nine students, supported by two skilled teaching assistants, providing comprehensive educational and behavioral support.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
• Ability to create, adapt, and implement IEPs tailored to individual learning needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility, patience, and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment
• Must be able to work onsite exclusively

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet a variety of needs
• Oversee and manage all aspects of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and related service providers
• Foster an inclusive, safe classroom atmosphere
• Track progress and maintain accurate student records
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians
