Special Education Teacher - Warwick, Rhode Island

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students with Autism and other developmental disabilities. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to work onsite throughout the 2024-2025 school year. With three openings available, you'll enjoy a manageable classroom size (8-12 students per class) and the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team focused on individualized student growth.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age students
• Background supporting learners with Autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued
• Familiarity with creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues and families
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and academic interventions to students in a self-contained or resource setting
• Develop and monitor IEP goals in partnership with families and related service staff
• Implement evidence-based strategies and accommodations for students with varying needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
• Support social and emotional learning within the classroom community
• Participate in team meetings, staff training, and school initiatives
