Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or related field; Master’s preferred
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities, including developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a variety of learning styles
- Organizational skills and flexibility to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored instruction in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with general educators, service providers, and family members to ensure holistic student support
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom culture that promotes growth, confidence, and positive social interactions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with all local and federal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development
