Special Education Teacher - Warwick, Rhode Island

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching at the middle or high school level preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum strategies
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs and IEP goals
• Foster a structured, encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to support each student's academic and behavioral goals
• Monitor and assess student progress, documenting and communicating outcomes with parents and team members
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative educational team
