Step into a rewarding role working with a dedicated group of students in a full-time contract position as a special education teacher, focusing on middle and high school grade levels. You will take the lead in a self-contained classroom setting, working alongside paraprofessionals and supporting a class of up to 10 students. As a key member of the instructional team, you'll provide individualized and group instruction, adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and foster an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for the appropriate grade levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom
  • Strong classroom management skills and an ability to lead and collaborate with paraprofessionals
  • Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Overseeing IEP implementation and student progress monitoring
