Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working with students in grades 4 through 8, preferably in resource settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to implement accommodations/modifications
  • Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and families
  • A passion for fostering student self-esteem, growth, and the development of life skills
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness in adapting instruction and managing a variety of learning needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide resource and pull-out support to students with diverse learning needs in grades 4-8
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual IEP goals
  • Monitor, document, and communicate student progress toward objectives
  • Collaborate closely with school staff and families to coordinate supports and participate in IEP meetings
  • Create a welcoming and positive environment that enhances student confidence and encourages independence
  • Employ creative strategies and interventions that inspire students to achieve their potential
