Special Education Teacher in Warwick, RI

You’ll work in a unique hybrid PreK–2 classroom environment. The role blends resource services with the flexibility to provide additional support for students requiring more intensive attention. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-age students, preferably in social/emotional or resource settings
• Strong ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and structured interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to nurturing a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and resource support to students in grades K–2
• Proactively identify student needs and adjust teaching approaches accordingly
• Facilitate emotional and social learning opportunities within the classroom
• Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and families
• Monitor progress and contribute to IEPs, documenting growth and strategies
• Foster an environment where every student feels valued and empowered
