Special Education Teacher in Warwick, RI

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school setting near Warwick, RI. Two positions are available, each designed to make a lasting impact on developing learners. Take part in the upcoming academic year with orientation beginning August 24th and students returning August 27th.

Available roles include:

• Lower School: Serving PreK-2nd Grade, 7:30am-3:00pm
• Middle School: Teaching 6th-8th Grade, 8:00am-4:00pm

Active support is provided through push-in and push-out services based on students’ IEPs and individual needs, engaging with approximately 12-17 students per caseload.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current Rhode Island Special Education Teaching License required
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering both push-in and push-out special education services
• Experience in adapting curriculum for a variety of age groups and abilities
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, families, and related services professionals
• Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans in compliance with regulations
• Deliver tailored instruction in classrooms or small-group settings
• Monitor and report student progress, updating goals as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to maximize student growth
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high professional standards
