Special Education Teacher in Warwick, RI

In this role, you'll dedicate 3 hours per session, three times per week, supporting a student’s educational goals in their home environment. Utilize your specialized training to adapt curriculum, assess needs, and foster academic progress in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience with diverse learning needs and implementing IEPs
• Ability to provide instruction in a homebound setting with compassion and adaptability
• Strong organizational skills and clear, effective communication style
• Dedication to upholding confidentiality and professional standards
• Previous experience with homebound instruction is a plus

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing targeted special education instruction three times per week, for 3-hour sessions
• Implementing and updating IEPs to support student academic and behavioral success
• Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and session outcomes
• Collaborating with families and school teams to assess and adjust instructional strategies
• Creating a supportive, structured, and positive learning atmosphere during home visits
