Step into a meaningful contract position supporting students in 2nd-3rd grade as a Special Education Teacher. In this full-time role, you’ll provide both push-in and pull-out services to ensure children receive individualized academic and social support during crucial early elementary years. Your day will run from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing you to make a significant impact within a structured schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with elementary-age students, particularly in 2nd-3rd grade
- Proficiency in delivering individualized instruction in both push-in and pull-out settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver instruction in both the general classroom and separate settings as appropriate
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instructional plans as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to support integrated learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding progress and concerns
