An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Special Education professional passionate about making a difference in students’ lives. This role is suited for a motivated, credentialed educator ready to provide dedicated support in a subseparate classroom setting for students with developmental delays. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team, including four dedicated paraprofessionals, to create and implement individualized learning strategies.
This position starts immediately and continues through June 15, 2027, offering stability and the chance to see the impact of your work over multiple school years. You’ll work up to 37.5 hours per week with a manageable caseload of nine students, ensuring you have the time and resources to focus on quality instruction and each child's growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification in Special Education—Moderate or Severe required
- Experience or strong interest in teaching students with developmental delays
- Familiarity with IEPs, data collection, and progress monitoring
- Proven ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and create supportive learning environments tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in coordination with the educational team
- Lead and coordinate with four paraprofessionals to ensure effective student support
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families and staff
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom dynamic where all students feel valued
