8th Grade 7th Grade Special Education Teacher - Warwick, Rhode Island

Your role will focus on push-in support within inclusive classrooms and targeted pull-out sessions, ensuring both academic and English language development for diverse learners. The ideal educator holds a Special Education certification and, preferably, an ESL endorsement—ready to collaborate with colleagues and champion student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification (active and in good standing)
• ESL endorsement highly preferred
• Experience with middle school students (6th–8th grade)
• Strong ability to implement inclusion models and individualized support
• Collaborative, organized, and flexible mindset
• Commitment to fostering a positive, responsive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver push-in academic support within inclusion classrooms
• Provide small-group or one-on-one pull-out instruction for students with IEPs and multilingual learners (MLLs)
• Adapt and differentiate curriculum to meet students’ diverse needs
• Partner closely with general education and ESL staff to align instructional strategies
• Monitor student progress, update documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate proactively with families and support teams
