6th Grade 7th Grade Special Education Teacher in Warwick, RI

The position operates on a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM each day, allowing for a structured and predictable workday.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification required
• ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement highly preferred
• Experience with middle school learners (grades 6-8) desirable
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Dedicated to fostering both academic growth and a positive classroom climate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction within general education classrooms (push-in model)
• Conduct targeted pull-out sessions for academic and Multilingual Learner (MLL) support
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
• Monitor and report on student progress toward IEP goals
• Adapt materials and teaching methods to support varying learning styles and needs
• Uphold a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive
