Lead instruction in an academically advanced environment, coteaching accelerated Math with a collaborative and passionate team. This role supports 5th and 6th graders engaged in advanced math coursework, providing both direct instruction and individualized support.

Key Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience supporting students with disabilities (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong background in math instruction, including prealgebra
  • Familiarity with co-teaching models and differentiated instruction
  • Experience writing IEPs and providing specially designed instruction (SDI)
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff and parents

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coteach four 50-minute math periods per day to 5th and 6th grade students in an accelerated curriculum
  • Facilitate learning with Invision Math and challenge students a grade level or two above standard grade expectations
  • Provide targeted pull-out math SDI for approximately six students daily
  • Manage a caseload of 8-10 students, developing and implementing effective IEPs
  • Maintain open, proactive communication with parents and caretakers
  • Participate in two protected 50-minute coplanning periods each day
  • Adapt instruction to both group and individualized education plans

This contract position runs through December 18, 2026, with immediate start available. Standard school hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, giving you consistency and work/life balance. Co-planning periods ensure you’ll have dedicated time for collaboration and preparation, supporting your professional growth and maintaining high standards for students.
