Soliant is seeking a dedicated onsite 4th Grade English Language Arts Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school team in Washington, DC. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized English Language Arts instruction by co-teaching in an inclusive classroom setting, supporting a caseload of approximately 20 students with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide individualized and small-group instruction within a self-contained classroom of about 10 students, adapting curriculum and strategies to support academic growth and IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective lesson plans, accommodations, and progress monitoring for all students.
  • Foster an inclusive, structured learning environment that promotes literacy development, engagement, and social-emotional success across both co-taught and self-contained classroom settings.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in schools preferred.

Education:

  • Active and full OSSE-issued credential OR active and full license from another state

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Work Hours: 8 am-4:30 pm, 40 hours a week

Compensation for this position ranges from $29.82 to $49.82. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
